Print Design
Print design work has involved designlayout and print ready mark-up of designs for magazines, CD sleeves, marketing collateral, programmes, posters and flyers.
Most of the work has been executed in either Macromedia Freehand, Adobe InDesign or Adobe illustrator and knowledge of 4-colour separation techniques, photo-mechancial transfer and other print-finishing techniques (such as die-cutting) have been necessary/
The work below is a small cross-section from the last 10+ years of design work, and while it has certainly taken a backseat to the more digital design and web-based projects, it is both satisfying and indeed necessary to keep your 'hand-in' using older and more established (and some would say refined!) design techniques. Knowledge of papers, finishes and other innovations also keep a mainly digital designer from being complacent and provide a refreshing lateral approach to design problems.
